C*N’T

Melbourne Fringe Best Comedy Award Winner 2024

An unhinged vulva explores what it means to be a C*nt.

Performed by Sophie Power

No more good girl.

An immersive experience like no other. Come into the warm moist depths of despair and emerge free, reborn into a life of new possibility.

A wild, bouffon immersive show exploring what holds us back from what we really want in life.

Is the worst word in our language really C*NT? Or is it Can't?

Or Kant?? - (definitely don't talk about him.)

CRY BABY

This autobiographical work, set against our current culture of
positivity-at-all-cost, follows Isabella on a quest of her own
to find happiness. So here we are. Exploring the very thing she
was trying to get away from in the first place. Crying.

‘Cry Baby’ is an experimental show by Award Winning performer
Isabella Perversi as a love letter to her dear ol’ friend tears.

Co-Devised and Performed by ISABELLA PERVERSI

Creative Consultant: FABIO MOTTA

Dramaturg: EMMA FAWCETT

"Fabio Motta serves as co-creator and director and you can
clearly notice his influence and artistry at play. His experience
as a student and teacher of clown and bouffon allows Perversi
the freedom to play and express herself through some unique
ways, including a very touching story between two sock puppets."
- REVIEW from My Melbourne Arts

"Perversi and her creative team, Fabio Motta and Emma Fawcett,
produced a well-paced story that oscillated between autobiographical monologues and varied sketches. This resulted in a strong mix of
humour and poignancy."
- Arts Hub Review

HOLY FOOL

La Mama Explorations 2024

A spiritual physical-comedy about a Fool who ended up becoming a Saint.

In 2024, chaos reigns! Battles boom, pockets deepen, and Mother Nature feels forgotten. Enter Fabio Motta, a thespian-turned-spiritual jester who believes, nay, he KNOWS the secret to attaining world harmony.

With a twinkle in his eye, and a misstep in his stride, Fabio invokes the legendary tale of Italy’s Saint Francis of Assisi to conjure the greatest of all miracles…

Think the Alchemist meets the Pink Panther. Maybe funny, Maybe not…this exploration is a work in progress showing that aims to explore the dance between divinity and stupidity, and the paradox that foolishness can often become divine wisdom.

‘A brilliantly crafted performance wrapped with comic wit…the laughter rolled continuously’

“A genius actor shines through”
– Tricia Zimer (The Weekend notes – review on SPOT)

‘Fabio is able to interchange character with faultless precision. Both vocally and physically. Timing is everything in this show and Fabio is a master of comic timing.’
– Melbourne Observer

PRINCESS TRUFFLES

Theatre Works 2023

Princess Truffles wakes in her tower. Today is her 1425th day of waiting for her prince, and she’s starting to think he may never arrive.

What’s to become of a 46 year old princess who’s never kissed so much as a frog? Whose hair is too thin to work as a rope ladder? And whose feet are too wide to fit into most accommodating glass slipper?

Luckily, today Truffles has an audience to help her answer these questions, while trying to woo potential suitors with song and seductive dancing. Will this be the night she finds her prince?

SPOT is an original solo theatre show that explores a contemporary immigrant journey through wicked satire, wild physical comedy and unforgettable characters. Performed by Fabio Motta and originally co-devised and written by John Tummino and movement director Zya Kane.

It’s the story of 8 year old migrant, Mario, and his devilish alter ego ‘Spot’. Mario dreams of becoming a ‘very good English actor’ and one day to even be tackling Shakespeare, but with no grasp of the english language and no one to support his dreams, he’s in a… ‘spot’ of bother!

SPOT explores through humour the difficulties of trying to find a place to fit in, when all you feel is out of place. The show examines themes of separation trauma, the difficulties of displacement, the language barriers and the deep sense of loss that are an inevitable part of leaving everything you know and love for the hope of a brighter future.

Based on true events, this story presents the questions of whether Australia really is the inclusive, multicultural place it believes itself to be.

SPOT received the prestigious Green Room award in 2022, for 'Best Performer' in Independent theatre and has received rave reviews.
